Transportation

Students who are outside of the ‘Delton Walk Zone’  but still  live in the Delton catchment area are provided with bussing.

Student Transportation’s  mandate is to ensure student safety for kindergarten to grade six students while traveling to and from school with contracted yellow bus carriers.

Where Edmonton Transit to the designated school is not available or does not provide an acceptable level of service, yellow bus service will be provided.  Students riding yellow buses can ride as many or as few days per week as necessary.

Please call the school at 780-477-8742 if you have questions or to get more information on bussing.

E-bikes and E-scooters:

Many students ride e-bikes and e-scooters to school. To keep everyone safe and prevent fire hazards, please review these mandatory rules with your child.

    • Park in designated areas: All e-bikes and e-scooters must be parked outside in the school’s assigned bike racks.
    • Keep devices outside: Never bring e-bikes or e-scooters inside the school building. The lithium-ion batteries are a severe fire hazard.
  • Wear a helmet: an approved helmet is legally required for all e-bike riders and anyone under 18, and is strongly recommended for e-scooters.
  • Watch for pedestrians: Ride carefully around the school to avoid collisions with others.
  • Lock your property: The school is not responsible for theft or vandalism. Students park these devices at their own risk.
  • Check your insurance: The Division does not cover damage to or loss of personal property. Review your home or tenant insurance policy to see if it covers your child's bike or scooter.

Thank you for helping us keep the school community safe!
