Special Education Programs
Delton School has programming for student in Grades 1 - 6 who are identified as Opportunity. These are multi-age groupings of students who benefit from additional support. Programming emphasizes development of literacy and numeracy skills, and the application of important academic, social-emotional skills, work and life skills in the classroom, school and community. The program fosters student independence and advocacy.
Delton has a 1/2/3 and 4/5/6 Connections program. Programming supports students to achieve academically, develop social-emotional regulation, behavioral skills and apply acceptable behaviour management techniques and social skills in the classroom, school and community. Students benefit from a small class setting with support from a teacher and educational assistant.
